update.

heey everyone :)


it has been a very long time since ive did a blog but here we go! 


I have decided to do probably 2 weeks worth of blogs written about the chapters of Luke.


So far i am writing this one along side one that will be posted tomorrow.. on chapter one.

No More Excuses

It's so interesting to see what stops people from reaching their potential. Call me an optimist or an idealist, but I happen to believe that God put so much inside of humans. In fact the Bible tells us that we are God's workmanship. The word potential has to do with that which is stored. Meaning all of us have amazing things stored inside of us; gifts, talents, and ideas waiting to be unleashed.

Even though every human has been stamped in the image of God and has their own unique makeup, so many of us still are unable to ever reach what we know we are destined to do. Now there are all sorts of reasons that prohibit people from getting there, yet the thing thats always so fascinating is that we have devised a set of excuses for our inability. Come on you know some of these.

Not enough time...  

Everyone is given the same 24 hours everyday. You have the same amount of time as Barak Obama.

I'll start tomorrow ...

We are poisoned by procrastination

I'm not qualified...

Neither were the 12 disciples... looks like it worked out for them

The reality is, we are letting our excuses dictate our future. Today I challenge you to look past your excuse. If God has given you a dream, then you need to go for it! Don't look back, move ahead. You are a leader! Leaders never wait for things to happen, they always make things happen! The time is now. Go and reach your potential.

Oh the journey.

I once heard a story and it was about a girl in college baseball. One game near the end it was her time to bat.. they were short 1 home run of winning. this girl had never got a home run, so she hits the ball and amazing as it was she got a home run.. as she is running her leg buckles and she falls and she cannot move so she is yelling for another runner from her team to run in her place but that's not allowed in baseball. So the first base player from the other team yells over to the coach and insists that they help her because she deserved it. There was nothing in the rule book about another player from the other team helping out so they did. They picked her up and made sure that her good leg touched all of the bases and they got there home run and won the game.

They didn't just carry her to home base but MADE sure that her leg touched each base. I'm thinking the baseball diamond like its a journey and in a journey you cant miss any of the bases. Sometimes in life we get hurt, we loose control and we give up but God is ALWAYS there to carry us on our journey no matter what.
Think of this.

• 1st base - Living Sacrifice
• 2nd base- Renewing your mind
• 3rd base- Keeping in touch with the spirit.
• Home run

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.  Romans 12:1


Being a Living Sacrifice is making God the Potter and ourselves the clay and letting God mold us to who he wants us to be. Meaning we let God lead us on our destiny. I'm so serious when i say that I'm horrible for just being UN patient with where I'm going to go in life . AHH i just want to know but doesn't that take away Gods hand in my life.

Jesus was a living sacrifice, he literally was brought down to earth to die! for us, yes he did many things well here but he died a gut wrenching death for us and YET we still try and have our own free will and placing God in it. crazy.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

This hits the spot your half way there, kind of like where i feel i am today! This verse really points out that God cares more about who your becoming then what your doing. Your works don't enter you into heaven, doing great things is well great but God wants you to become something good, pleasing and perfect to God. Whats perfect to God is not at all what we think perfect is because of society . You don't need a blown out career and making a million dollars to be pleasing as long as everything you do Glorifies God then its pleasing to him.

" Your talent can take you to a place where your character cant keep you"  Guys urge to know God and what he wants for your life, know your standards and do what Gods will is.

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

I think its very important to listen and i mean really listen to Gods ideas for your life.. he can honestly sometimes be honking a fog horn right in your mind but if your not truly listening you might miss it. Keeping in step with your prayer is so important but sometimes maybe you need to not talk but listen and let God speak, just because your not saying words doesn't mean the connection isn't there. I talk a lot and i often catch myself saying hey just listen for a while.

 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. ¹³ I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:12-13 

This is it, we have succeeded in something but everyday is a new journey , the journey doesn't end it goes around and around. game after game.
i find it really important to pray thanks to God for everything. Sometimes when I'm successful i will forget about God but its important to praise him everyday for everything he does in our life and just being God.

Finally!! : weasel words

so I've been trying plenty times a week to write because Ive had so much to say but it would never happen. so I'm going to take another shot at it and post this anyways. bare with me!

At church on Sunday the pastor kind of touched base on sheltering our faith. This is huge and a lot of us don't  even notice when we do it. Ok like if you were asked a question like  because I'm a sinner does that mean i go to hell  or who is God , why does he let certain things happen in our life. Often i see people use weasel words things that try and get them to not answer those questions that make the situation better, well the truth needs to be told! Yes i understand some times those questions are hard to answer so you don't really know what to say. . Well the good thing to do would be to not lie and sugar coat the truth that way you ' feel a lot better after answering the question' but tell them where they can find the answers ( THE BIBLE )!  I know that I've been in those situations and been lost with words so i just don't say anything at all.. well that's not good ether because then you leave that person lost and mislead. I think we get embarrassed when we can't answer everything.. but really were not meant to, if we had all the answers how could we put our trust and faith in God. we couldn't. What makes the situation wrong is not the fact that you can't answer hard questions , or even that they are asked but when you think God doesn't know what your doing theres the sticky situation.

In revelations 2 it talks about the church in Thyatira when God knows the love,faith,service, patience that is there but he also knows that the Church let the woman Jezebel spread false teachings and lead them astray, She thought that it was okay and God wouldn't worry about that one time because of all of the "good" things that were done in the church. But sins that seem so small to us mean the WORLD to God and it kills him more then we know and understand.  Even though we would like to make the situation better for ourselves sometimes. WE need to think about Jesus, would he ever pass up those chances of ministry because he was worried about how people would react to him? never. If we are to strive to be like Jesus that means taking Courage and not worrying about what reaction you'll get if you take a couple steps to become like Jesus.

My day.

By awesome deeds you answer us with deliverance, O God of our salvation; you are the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas. By your strength you established the mountains; you are girded with might. You silence the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples. when i was getting ready for school, i didn't really want to go.. i knew it was going to be cold out and busy since i didn't go all week as you can tell not a fan of high school, but thats another story! 
I walk outside and i was right, it was freezing and the sun was SO bright i couldn't see.. but when i put my ipod in and turned on the song Love came down by Ben Cantelon.. LOVE his voice. i just kept looking at the sunset and seriously trembling at how georgous it was! 

From the song and the sky and just the enviorment it made my day So alive and just fun. 
God really made me realize how thankful i should be, when there are people whos lives are like a cloud of darkness and yes i have to put up with a few things here and there but nothing i cant handle. I was not just thankful for the people and the opportunity that i get in my life but merely the fact that i can admire Gods beautiful creation each and every day! 

If you have never really took the time to be thankful , you really should. God places things in our lives all of the time and we often don't give him the time of the day to be thankful for what he does. 

Well, that was my day in a blog. haha :)  

happiness

So it was a normal day today at school.. and my English teacher has this like thesis for the whole semester.. and its that there is no such thing as happiness.
This is so challenging for me to believe.. but maybe there isn't and really maybe there is! There such things as Joy, Love, Kindness.. which we all do when were happy.. but maybe people are never really full of  happiness.

I still think theres such thing as happiness.. but maybe you have a different opinion.. or maybe you can elaborate my thought. and i would LOVE to hear. share in my comment box :)
